Anna McFly has felt distant from her depressed, alcoholic mother, Elsa, for the past few years. It's 2015 and she's a high school senior; she's willing to let that go and focus on her future with her band - and her friend-and-maybe-more, Jennifer Punzel. Until crazy old Doc Pabbie ropes her into a science experiment. What will she do when she travels back in time to 1985 and sees just how different Elsa was thirty years ago?

Over a year after the events of the first Borealis, Elsa, Anna, and Jasmine have been continuing their lives of super heroes/criminals. Things have been going great, they're madly in love, they rule the town, and they have more demi-gods to fight than you can wave a cape at. All of this changes when a stray projectile kills Jasmine. Never ones to take death lying down, Elsa and Anna set out to bring her back, with the help of Skaldi, while Jasmine does her best to find her way back to them.

Elsa has had a crush on Anna since they started together in the police academy.  She had assumed it was unrequited until they ended up practicing handcuffing each other.  They end up back at Anna's place, and Elsa finds out just how far Anna wants to take things.
